nerd diaries: September 2020

Updated: Dec 19, 2020

This was a month of bangers - pretty much everything I read was great. And I discovered Victor La Valle - like Grady Hendrix, I started reading him ten years after everyone else.

September is always a rubbish month for film watching - in our house of four, there are three birthdays in four consecutive days, and it is always just craziness.

This month is primarily easy telly viewing, as we saunter on with The Detectorists and with our rewatch of Peep Show from the beginning (this is the second or third time we have done this).

For your reference, I am an amalgamation of Jez and Dobby. Apparently.

Retrospectively, I reckon this month's winners are Arachnophobia, United Skates, Roller Girl (there's a theme here right), The Devil in Silver and P. Djèlí Clark's The Haunting of Tram Car 015.
