I'm Alison, a writer and video maker living in Bradford, UK. I write books and make films about horror, feminism, and film history.

I'm a Professor of Film at the University of Leeds, where I teach screenwriting. I also provide essays and audiovisual content for film distributors, museums and galleries, and media brands.
